Demetra is a prototype of European time services, based on GALILEO.
The aim of the DEMETRA project is to facilitate the improvement of timing service offerings to industry by collecting information on user needs and feeding to decision makers and timing service providers. Representative timing service applications will be developed and demonstrated with the aim to assess the feasibility of new improved services.
The DEMETRA demonstrator paves the way for the development of new EGNSS time services and products for mass market applications. Its infrastructure is built around an open architecture that supports the existing Time Services integrated for the demonstration and eases the development of the future ones.
To Access to a Time Service, you have to submit a subscription request for this particular Time Service by filling the Subscription Form. Then, you will be contacted for requesting additional information and confirming your identity. Finally, after acceptance of your request, you will be granted with the adequate Time Service Subscription credentials.
Based on the current practice of national metrological laboratories, identifying the additional necessities of the timing users, DEMETRA will define and develop a prototype of a European time disseminator, based on EGNSS. This project has received funding from the European GNSS Agency under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 640658.
The future is something which everyone reaches at the rate of sixty minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is.
